5th Wheel Hitches & Professional Installation in Littleton, CO
If you're towing an RV, camper, or large travel trailer with a pickup, a 5th wheel hitch is the setup you want. The hitch sits in your truck bed and connects to the kingpin on your trailer, the same way a semi truck connects to its trailer. You get better stability, tighter turning, and more control than any other towing method for heavy campers.
What we sell and install
We carry 5th wheel hitches from B&W and CURT, including:
- B&W Patriot- available in 16K and 18K ratings. Fully articulating head, no-lube pivot points, and a cam-action latching handle you can see and feel engage. This is our most popular 5th wheel hitch.
- B&W Companion- designed for trucks with factory puck systems (Ford, GM, Ram). Drops into the pucks, no rails needed. Also available as a gooseneck-mount version if you already have a Turnoverball.
- CURT 5th wheel hitches- a range of options from basic to premium, including rail-mount and puck-mount models for different budgets.
All of our 5th wheel hitches mount on industry-standard rails or directly into factory puck systems.
What professional installation gets you
A 5th wheel hitch needs to sit level, centered over your rear axle, and bolted through the bed into the frame. Our installs include:
- Rails or puck-mount hardware matched to your exact year, make, and model
- All bolts torqued to manufacturer spec
- Bed holes sealed against rust
- Height adjusted so your trailer tows level
- Wiring for trailer lights and brakes if you need it
- A walkthrough of hitching, unhitching, and removing the head when you need your bed back
Most 5th wheel installs take half a day. Call for an appointment, same-day slots are usually available.
5th wheel vs. gooseneck: which do you need?
5th wheel hitches use a kingpin and jaw, like a semi. Gooseneck hitches use a ball and coupler. For RVs, campers, and travel trailers, 5th wheel is almost always the right call. The connection is more stable at highway speed and easier to hitch on uneven ground. For flatbeds, stock trailers, and horse trailers, gooseneck is usually better. If you're pulling something unusual, call us and we'll sort it out.
Towing capacity and your truck
Your truck's towing capacity is set by the manufacturer, not by the hitch. A 5th wheel hitch rated for 18,000 lbs doesn't mean your truck can pull 18,000 lbs. Check your owner's manual for your truck's 5th wheel/gooseneck towing rating, or call us with your year, make, model, and engine. We'll look it up with you.
